New Delhi, July 4: Purnendu Kishore Banerjee (ISS: 1993), Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre. The Competent Authority approved the proposal submitted by the Department of Higher Education, and the repatriation has been cleared on personal grounds.
Banerjee, a 1993-batch Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer, had been serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Higher Education on central deputation. His tenure was originally scheduled to continue until September 2026, but it has now been curtailed following the approved proposal for premature repatriation.
