New Delhi: The Central Government has prematurely repatriated Rashmi Kamal (IAS: 2006, West Bengal cadre) to her parent cadre on administrative grounds.
Rashmi Kamal was serving as DCO/DCR, West Bengal at the Director level during her Central deputation. As part of the order, the government has also granted her the provision of “extended cooling-off”, in accordance with the applicable deputation rules.
Premature repatriation means that an officer returns to their parent cadre before the completion of the scheduled tenure on Central deputation. The “extended cooling-off” provision allows the officer to remain in the parent cadre for a specified period before becoming eligible for another Central deputation, as per the government’s deputation policy.
No further details regarding the administrative reasons behind the repatriation have been disclosed in the official order.
