New Delhi : Senior IPS officer Rajiv Singh (IPS: 1993: TR), currently serving as Director General of Police (DGP), Government of Manipur, has been appointed as Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat.
A 1993-batch IPS officer of the Tripura cadre, Rajiv Singh has held several key policing and security assignments during his distinguished career. His appointment to the crucial post in the Cabinet Secretariat comes amid continued emphasis on strengthening national security coordination and strategic administration at the Centre.
In another significant diplomatic appointment, Dr Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit (IFS: 2004), presently serving as the High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr Rajpurohit, a senior Indian Foreign Service officer, has represented India in multiple diplomatic assignments and is expected to assume his new role shortly. His appointment is aimed at further enhancing India’s bilateral ties with Bahrain, particularly in areas of trade, energy cooperation, investment, and the welfare of the Indian diaspora in the Gulf region.
Both appointments were announced through official notifications issued by the Government of India.
