New Delhi : The Government has appointed Robert Jerard Ravi, an ITS officer, as the new BSNL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) for a period of six months. Ravi is currently working as the deputy director general, standards, research and innovation at the Department of Telecommunication (DoT).
He will hold additional charge of CMD of BSNL, CMD of MTNL and CMD of BBNL effective July 15, 2024. Ravi will replace P K Purwar, whose tenure is expiring on July 14. During the period of holding additional charge, Ravi will not be entitled to any additional remuneration.
