Samarth Verma, a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Odisha cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Delhi.
The appointment is for a period of five years, as part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to strengthen maritime infrastructure and policy implementation through experienced leadership. Verma is expected to contribute significantly to initiatives aimed at modernizing port operations and enhancing inland and coastal waterway connectivity.
