New Delhi: The Central Government has entrusted Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (IAS: 2002: Bihar), Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, with the additional charge of Director General (Joint Secretary level), National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad.
According to an official order, Agarwal has been assigned the additional responsibility on an ex post facto basis for a period of six months, from March 30, 2026, to September 29, 2026.
As Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Agarwal has been involved in key policy and administrative matters related to the agricultural sector. His additional appointment is expected to strengthen the leadership and functioning of MANAGE, a premier national institution dedicated to agricultural extension management, capacity building, and the dissemination of modern farming practices across the country.
The appointment aims to ensure continuity in the institute’s operations and support ongoing initiatives focused on enhancing agricultural extension services and farmer outreach programs.
