New Delhi: The Central Government has appointed Varun Nayyar (IDAS: 2014) as Internal Financial Advisor (IFA) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at the Deputy Secretary level.
According to the appointment order, Nayyar will serve in the position for a tenure extending up to December 12, 2028.
An officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS), Varun Nayyar brings experience in financial management, budgeting, and public expenditure oversight. As Internal Financial Advisor, he will be responsible for providing financial advice, ensuring fiscal prudence, and supporting the efficient management of financial resources within the CBI.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the agency’s financial administration and contribute to the effective implementation of its operational and organizational objectives.
