Swapnil Mamgain (IPS: 2011: UP) has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Border Security Force (BSF). His tenure will be for a period of five years from the date he assumes charge.
An officer of the 2011 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, Swapnil Mamgain brings significant experience to the new role. His appointment is part of a routine administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening leadership in key national security positions.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued the order confirming his posting in BSF, one of India’s primary paramilitary forces tasked with guarding the country’s land borders and handling internal security duties.
