The Government of India has extended the tenure of Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, for a further period of six months. The extension will be effective from October 11, 2025.
Dr. Mohanty has been instrumental in steering India’s nuclear energy initiatives and strengthening atomic research and development under the DAE. His continued leadership is expected to further advance strategic programs and scientific endeavors in the atomic energy sector.
