The Government of India has extended the central deputation tenure of Shri Rakesh Kumar Pandey (IDAS: 2003) as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs by one year. His initial appointment was for a combined tenure of seven years, concluding on May 13, 2025. With this extension, he will continue in his role until May 13, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shri Pandey, an officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service, has been serving in the Ministry of Home Affairs since May 14, 2018. His extended tenure reflects the government’s confidence in his contributions to the ministry’s operations and policy implementation.
