Vijay Deverakonda Marries Rashmika Mandanna in Grand Udaipur Ceremony; Spotlight Turns to Her Sister Shiman and Family

Posted on February 26, 2026February 26, 2026 By northsouthblock No Comments on Vijay Deverakonda Marries Rashmika Mandanna in Grand Udaipur Ceremony; Spotlight Turns to Her Sister Shiman and Family

By NSB.News Desk

Actor Vijay Deverakonda and actress Rashmika Mandanna have reportedly tied the knot in a traditional Telugu wedding ceremony. As the news of their marriage spreads, public curiosity has also turned toward Rashmika’s family—especially her younger sister, who is now Vijay’s sister-in-law.

Wedding Celebrations in Udaipur

The wedding festivities took place in the royal courtyards of Udaipur, where the couple—fondly called ‘Virosh’ by fans—celebrated their union amid close family and friends. While fans eagerly await the couple’s first official wedding pictures, the ceremony has also brought attention to Rashmika’s otherwise private family.

Rashmika and Her Sister Shiman’s Bond

Vijay and Rashmika’s love story began on the sets of the film Geetha Govindam and has now culminated in marriage. However, a significant part of Rashmika’s heart belongs to her younger sister, Shiman Mandanna.

Shiman is 16 years younger than Rashmika. While Rashmika is 29 years old, Shiman is currently 14 and in her teenage years. The considerable age gap has filled Rashmika with more maternal affection than just sisterly love. She has often said that she treats Shiman not merely as a sister, but like her own daughter.

The Emotional Cost of Stardom

Becoming a pan-India star has been emotionally challenging for Rashmika as well. In a 2025 interview, she expressed regret about missing her sister’s growing-up years due to her busy schedule. She shared emotionally, “In the past eight years, I have missed watching her grow up. When I go home and see her standing as tall as me, it brings tears to my eyes. I feel sad that I couldn’t be part of those little moments of her childhood.”

In April 2024, Rashmika wrote an emotional post for her “doll” Shiman, expressing her wish that her sister grows up to become a strong and self-respecting woman admired by the world.

About Rashmika Mandanna’s Family

Rashmika comes from a simple yet accomplished family background. Her father, Madan Mandanna, owns a prosperous coffee estate and a luxury function hall in the Coorg region of Karnataka. Her mother, Suman Mandanna, is a homemaker who has been Rashmika’s pillar of strength, especially during the challenging phases of her career.

Unlike many star siblings who enter the glamour industry, the Mandanna family prefers to keep Shiman away from the spotlight. Rashmika’s parents want her to have a normal childhood without the shadow of her sister’s global fame affecting her education or personality development. Rashmika herself believes that growing up in a peaceful and grounded environment will help Shiman become a better individual. This is why very little information about Shiman is available online.

A New Beginning for ‘Virosh’

As Rashmika begins a new chapter of her life with Vijay Deverakonda, it is undoubtedly a joyful moment for her entire family. Their marriage is not just the union of two popular stars but also the coming together of two families. Rashmika’s mother, Suman, who has always been her greatest support system, is said to be overwhelmed with happiness seeing her daughter as a bride.
