Suvendu Kumar Swain (IPoS: 1990), a noted Odia film director and Indian Postal Service officer, has been appointed as a Member of the Postal Services Board (Banking & Direct Benefit Transfer), effective September 1, 2024. Swain, who is currently serving as Chief Post Master General (CPMG) in Odisha Circle in HAG Grade, takes over from Kishan Kumar Sharma (IPoS: 1990), who has been promoted to the position of Member, PSB (Banking & DBT) in HAG+ Grade on his final day of service, August 31, 2024. Swain is also recognized for his contributions to Odia cinema, with three of his films achieving significant success at the box office.
