By NSB.News

New Delhi: Suneet Mehta (IFS: 2007), who is currently serving as the High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Fiji, has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to the Kingdom of Tonga. He will continue to reside in Suva while handling his diplomatic responsibilities for both nations.

According to official information, Mehta will represent India in Tonga while maintaining his current role in Fiji. The concurrent accreditation means that he will oversee India’s diplomatic engagement with Tonga from the Indian High Commission in Suva.

The move is seen as part of India’s broader efforts to strengthen its diplomatic outreach and cooperation with Pacific Island nations. In recent years, India has been actively enhancing its political, economic, and developmental partnerships across the Pacific region.
