New Postings in Paramilitary Forces : IPS officer Deepak Barnwal (2010 batch, Bihar cadre) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Meanwhile, Adarsh Sidhu (2012 batch, Rajasthan cadre) has been posted as DIG in the Border Security Force (BSF).
Princee Rani Shifted to BSF
Senior IPS officer Princee Rani (2005 batch, Tripura cadre), currently serving as Inspector General in the National Security Guard (NSG), has been appointed as Inspector General in the BSF on a lateral shift basis. Her tenure will continue until February 5, 2029.
Shobhit Gupta Repatriated Early
Shobhit Gupta (IRSEE: 2000), who was serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds. An extended ‘cooling-off’ condition has also been imposed.
Sunil Kumar Sharma Appointed in CAT
IA&AS officer Sunil Kumar Sharma (2015 batch) has been selected as Chief Accounts Officer (Deputy Secretary level) in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Principal Bench, for a period of four years.
Gautam Thapliyal Posted to LBSNAA
IRS officer Gautam Thapliyal (2016 batch) has been appointed as Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary level) at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. His tenure will be until December 10, 2027.
Pranay Verma Appointed Ambassador to Belgium & EU
Senior Indian Foreign Service officer Pranay Verma (1994 batch), currently serving as High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Belgium and the European Union.
