Bhanwar Lal Meena, the Director of the Central Detective Training Institute in Kolkata, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a lateral shift basis. Meena is a 2013-batch IPS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
