The maiden edition of the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 concluded successfully in New Delhi, bringing together policymakers, global experts, industry leaders, investors, and innovators to deliberate on the future of the power sector and accelerate the global clean energy transition.

The Summit witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 35,000 exhibition attendees, participation from 28 States and Union Territories, over 200 exhibiting companies including 80+ startups, 6,000+ delegates, 300+ speakers, and more than 100 conference sessions. The scale and diversity of participation highlighted India’s growing leadership in the global energy ecosystem.

Guided by the Prime Minister’s vision, India is rapidly advancing towards achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, having already crossed the milestone of over 50% non-fossil capacity. Initiatives like “One Sun, One World, One Grid” further underline the country’s commitment to global energy cooperation.
Delivering the valedictory address, Union Power Minister Manohar Lal stated that the Summit was a great success, witnessing unprecedented participation and meaningful discussions despite being its first edition. He especially appreciated the strong presence of startups and the innovation they are expected to bring to the power sector.
He emphasized that achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 requires reliable and accessible electricity as a common resource for all citizens and economic stakeholders. He also highlighted that under the Saubhagya Yojana, electricity has successfully reached even the remotest parts of the country.
The Summit emerged as a significant platform for shaping policy direction, fostering global collaboration, and promoting innovation, laying a strong foundation for a resilient, sustainable, and future-ready power sector in India.
