IND vs PAK, T20 World Cup 2026: The biggest league-stage clash of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 between India and Pakistan will be played on February 15 in Colombo. Ahead of the high-voltage encounter, former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali made a statement that is sure to delight Indian cricket fans. The 55-year-old has named India as favourites for the much-anticipated contest.

Speaking during a special show on NDTV, Basit Ali said that considering current form and team balance, India appear stronger going into the match. He highlighted India’s depth in both batting and bowling as a key factor that could make the difference in a pressure game like India vs Pakistan.

High-Voltage Match in Colombo

The thrilling encounter will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The captains will walk out for the toss at 6:30 PM, while the match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local time. Both teams have already arrived in Colombo for the blockbuster fixture.

India Squad

India will be led by Suryakumar Yadav. The squad includes Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Rinku Singh.

Pakistan Squad

Pakistan will be captained by Salman Ali Agha. The squad features Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan, and Usman Tariq.

The India-Pakistan rivalry remains one of the most eagerly awaited contests in world cricket, and anticipation is building for another electrifying showdown.
