Meenu Choudhary (IPS: 2000: AGMUT) has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The appointment has been made on deputation, according to an official notification issued by the Government of India.
A senior IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre, Meenu Choudhary brings extensive experience in policing, administration, and law enforcement. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing key operational and administrative functions within the SSB.
The SSB is one of India’s Central Armed Police Forces and is primarily tasked with guarding the country’s borders with Nepal and Bhutan, along with carrying out various internal security responsibilities. Meenu Choudhary’s appointment is expected to further strengthen the force’s leadership and operational effectiveness.
