Shalini Agnihotri, a 2012-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, under the Ministry of Education.
Her appointment is for a period of four years, as approved by the competent authority. Agnihotri’s induction into the education sector comes as part of the Centre’s broader administrative strategy to utilize experienced officers across diverse policy domains.
