New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the extension of the tenure of Chaudhari Uday Gaurishankar (IAS: 2010: Maharashtra) as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).

According to an official order, his tenure has been extended for a further period of two years beyond June 23, 2026. The extension will allow Chaudhari to continue overseeing key policy and administrative matters related to environmental conservation, forest management, climate change initiatives, and sustainable development.
